Connect the Bridge
One-time setup so the RFID readers work
expand_more

The Bridge is a small app that runs on the station PC and links your ACCUZ® RFID reader to TRAKON. Do this once per station before registering tags or running a workstation. (This step is the same for every module.)

  1. Open your ACCUZ® Bridge folder and double-click the AccuzBridge application, the ACCUZ® Bridge Setup window opens.
  2. Leave Setup Mode on SaaS enrollment code. The Platform URL is already filled (https://app.trakon.ai).
  3. Enter your Enrollment Code, you receive this after buying ACCUZ® hardware or subscribing to the software. (It’s the only field you must type.)
  4. Module, leave Auto from enrollment (recommended: it picks up your module automatically, and any new modules later). If it doesn’t resolve, pick your module (asset-basic / count-basic).
  5. Click Check Enrollment. A green ✓ (“Enrollment will be redeemed when you Save”) means the code is valid.
  6. Under Desktop RFID Reader, pick your Reader Model, Asset Basic and Count Basic use AZD-R1, and set Connection to USB.
  7. Optional, Zebra label printer. Tick Enable Zebra RFID label printer to reveal a Printer Connection choice (USB print only, TCP/IP Print & Bind, or USB P&B); for TCP/IP enter the Printer IP and Port (e.g. 192.168.1.100 : 9100). Tick Start automatically with Windows to launch the Bridge on every boot.
  8. Click Save & Start Bridge. A small dot appears in the Windows tray (bottom-right): yellow = Bridge running, green = Bridge connected to the software.
  9. Confirm in the app: open Hardware, the device shows Connected with your reader, Bridge version and live controls. Not showing? Click Refresh.

Register an asset & bind its RFID tag
Two quick steps: create the record, then bind a tag
expand_more

Registering is two steps. First you create the asset record. Then you bind an RFID tag to it, the tag is not assigned automatically, you choose how to bind it.

Step A, create the record. On the Assets page click + Add and fill in the Register New Asset form:

  1. Enter an Asset Code (e.g. TW-001) and a Name.
  2. Pick a Category (e.g. General, TOOL) and an optional Department.
  3. Choose a Location (required) from your location hierarchy, then click Save.

Step B, bind the RFID tag. The new asset appears in the list with a Bind Tag button in the RFID Tag column. Click it and choose a method:

  1. Scan from Reader (recommended), place a single tag on the desktop reader (AZD-R1) and press its read button; the EPC fills in automatically. Click Bind.
  2. Manual Input, type the EPC code by hand, then Bind.
  3. Print & Bind, print the label on a Zebra printer and bind in one step.

boltYou can also register on the fly at the Workstation: if an unknown tag is scanned during check-out, hit Register right there (see Borrow & return).

Many assets need periodic calibration or maintenance. TRAKON tracks the cycle per asset and (by default) blocks check-out of an expired instrument until it’s re-done.

  1. Set the cycle on the asset: open it from the Assets list → Edit → set Calibration Interval (days) and Calibration Due Date.
  2. Watch it on the Calibrations page, two tabs, Expiring Soon and Expired, with columns Code · Asset · Due Date · Days Left · Holder · Action.
  3. After re-calibrating, click Record Calibration (here or in the asset’s detail panel), the cycle resets and the tool can be issued again.
